I am doing an exercise for a creative writing class.

I have to choose an object and write about it. I wrote this:

I see a notebook that my daughter bought for me in Milan. It has the word Book·lover on the cover. Spelled like that, with a division between the two words. And then it says: "(booklover) n. 1. A person devoted to reading 2.One who would rather stay inside and read than go outside and play 3.Someone who gets lost in a story and loves to dream with open eyes...Beware: never disturb a book lover when he/she is reading. Results can be fatal." The full description is applicable to me.

At that time, my daughter was an exchange student in Paris, where she befriended an Italian student. He was from a little town near Milan. They spent a few days at his house and visited the city.
